Quick Shot: Little Comets
The Little Comets are a burgeoning band from the northern UK who list Debussy and Einstein as influences, and describe their sound as “a mixture of opposite-lethargy and something that has no concept of stealth.” In more understandable terms, their single, “One Night In October,” will be that song that you just have to hear when you’re drunk at a party for the rest of the summer. You will warm-up for this by having Vampire Weekendesque dance jams to the Little Comets once a day for at least the next few weeks, except it won’t feel over-played and you’ll get a little more “jangle” with your “bo.” Honest. Unfortunately, they are not yet available for download in the US, so you are also going to be spending a lot of time on their myspace.
